America, and is a four season state so there is a lot to do in Utah all year long. For those of you that like to ski, there are many ski resorts in Utah, Park City is one of the more well known areas and is known the world over for its skiing and many restaurants and pubs to unwind after a hard day of skiing. Park City is also where the Sun- dance Film Festival takes place in January every year, one good plan a ski trip and take in the Film Festival at the same time. Native American Indians have lived in Utah for thousands of years and have dwelling sites, sacred places and rock art is in many locations. To learn more about Indian culture in Utah there are Navajo guided tours available. John Wayne made many movies in Utah which is a great place to film western movies, and Butch Cassidy had a hideout in Utah. There are many guest ranches in Utah with spa's swimming pools, one can even rent a Harly and hit the road. FRY SAUCE : a dipping sauce for french fries which consists of: mayonnaise, pickle, relish and spices, this is known mostly in Utah. UTAH SCONES : deep-fried dough with honey and butter and delicious. JELL-O : at one time more Jello was eaten in Utah than any other state and Jell-O-Salad which is very popular has canned fruit mixed in the Jello and topped with whipped cream. BEAR LAKE raspberries : candy flavored raspberries are popular especially when added to creamy shakes. PASTRAMI BURGERS: thin slices of pastrami on a charbroiled cheeseburger, Crown Burgers was the originator of this tasty burger in the 1980s. FUNERAL POTATOES: a baked casserole made with potatoes, canned soup, cheese and with a crushed corn-flake top, received its name from Mormon women who made this dish for families after a funeral service. GREEN RIVER MELONS: conditions are just right at Green River for growing cantaloupe, watermelons, honeydews. They grow large and sweet in this area. HONEY: Many family operations make honey with different flavors such as: whipped honey, and honey flavored with orange, raspberry and huckleberry.
