Bulgaria is next to the Black Sea and the Danube River goes through Bulgaria with the Black Sea effecting the temperature of that part of Bulgaria for 40 km.

The history of Bulgaria goes back to the 6th-2nd century BC and was once part of the Roman Empire and Bulgaria was a cradle for some of the earliest civilizations. Bulgaria is a archaeologist dream with so many ancient ruins with the chance of finding more sites.

The cuisine of Bulgaria is diverse and delicious with tempting salads, breads, stews handed down from older generations, other foods such as feta cheese and a popular breakfast called (banitsa) made with dough and various fillings also pancakes, fritters served with jam, honey or yogurt. Soups are a main staple especially  bean soup and fish soup is very popular along the Danube and Black Sea. Visitors who visit Strandzha will be treated to an unusual site, in June visitors can see the ancient ritual (dancing on live hot coals). There are many resorts in Bulgaria especially along the Black Sea. The Bulgarian Black Sea is the perfect place for a summer holiday with lots of water sports such as surfing, water skiing, diving, underwater exploration, fishing, boating and working on your tan.
